Reason for Ban (Listed): Attempted KOS
Why You Should Be Unbanned: I believe I should be unbanned for several reasons:
1. I didn't try to KOS anyone
I did not attempt to kill the individual that may have been hit (from what I understand, there is no proof what-so-ever that shows one of the three were wounded). I feared for my life like any other individual would if they were placed in my situation. Hearing shots close by a few minutes before the situation began, I was on high alert like anyone else would be. Seeing that these 3 individuals all had flashlights on their weapons, that told me that they were high-geared. That combined with the shots from before and the amount of people that I was up against told me that I was going to have to take action as quickly as possible and make sure that my shots did not hit any of the civilians that were in the tower.
2. I was merely trying to scare them off.
I've been in enough situations on this server to know that knowing the rules like they are the back of your hands is quite important. Knowing that KOS isn't allowed (it's in the server name) I wouldn't dare try to break such a rule. They were coming down a flight of stairs with flashlights on (meaning I was completely blinded). This alone gave them a tactical advantage over me, so I decided to drop the backpack that was in my hands and fire well above the flashlight. I am quite familiar with the set of stairs the 3 were on, so I knew where their heads would be and did my absolute best to avoid wounding/killing any of them (and it seems like a did quite a good job). I then ran away as fast as I could to get out of the danger zone (one of the many tips people are given when they're in such a situation.
3. Nobody lost anything but me
Out of the 4 individuals involved in this incident, I was the only person to lose items. After trying to run away I somehow was glitched into a rock which gave me no other choice but to kill myself. This means that they gained items because I had to drop the backpack that was in my hands. I also told them via discord that if they were to find my body, to not try and retrieve any of my gear because I was in a spot that carries with it a 100% mortality rate. These types of relayed messages wouldn't come from some that was trying to kill anyone. After I got myself out of the danger zone, I tried my best to make sure that those individuals would be safe as well.
4. I have a quite healthy track record
Most people on this server have no qualms with me. I've helped a massive amount of people through trading, giveaways (like the akm and svd giveaway), and of course the keeping of secrets. I have no reason to KOS anyone because I am friends with the traders up at the Northeast Airfield and can gear right back up in a matter of minutes (if the spawnlords allow it). The only individuals that seem to have an issue with my very presence happen to be the same group that I encountered last night. Every time that I've encountered this group, I've done nothing but donate and help them in some kind of way. I've never physically harmed or killed any of the individuals that are apart of that group and have no reason to do so. This situation is no different to any of the past situations that have involved me and them. They left with their lives, their items, and some of my gear as well. This has happened multiple times and I believe that it will happen again. For them to believe that I would try to hurt them, when all I've done to them is help them...It truly does surprise me in an unfathomable amount of ways.
5. The Ending
In the end, while it may have seemed like I was trying to inflict harm onto 1 of the 3 individuals that I ran into,I did not and actually helped them in quite a few ways. I think that I played the situation out correctly and did my best to make sure that everyone involved escaped alive and with all their gear. I saw a potential threat, I instinctively reacted by trying to scare off said threat, and then got myself out of the danger zone. After that I was quick to let them know that my body was in a glitchy spot and made sure that they wouldn't suffer the same fate that I sadly did. While other individuals may have played the situation in a smarter and more cautious way, I still got everybody out safe. Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal and have a great day.
